Originally founded to be a safe haven for lesbian, transgender, and other alternative-lifestyle female students, Gamma Rho Lambda is now growing to be the largest LGBTQIA+ supporting sorority. Though a young organization, in 2005 they were able to reach a national status by opening a few more chapters. Currently, they are working to create foundations to assist LGBTQIA+ and allies with support and resources.
