Alpha Phi was founded in 1872 by 10 of Syracuse University’s first female students who were not satisfied with being denied admission to the men’s only fraternity and started their own fraternity for women. Striving to bring sisterhood and compassion, as well as being sincere searchers for truth, Alphi Phi seeks to cultivate the highest ideal of womanhood among their members.
