Founded: Oct. 23, 1897, at State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia

Founded by 4 young women in 1897, Kappa Delta focuses on inspiring women through lifelong relationships and granting the experience and confidence for them to be successful in all aspects of life. With over 272,000 members and 167 collegiate chapters, not to mention more than 222 alumni chapters, women across the nation are given resources not only while in college/university, but also throughout their professional lives. With high ethical standards, and service as a forefront in their values, the sisters of Kappa Delta truly live by their motto.
